There are millions of consumers who have no other option but to use cash for every purchase. The potential numbers for online cash purchases increase considerably in countries where credit card penetration is low and where bank infrastructures are not well established (e.g., Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia).

GlobalCollect enables you to offer cash payments worldwide through the large network of Western Union locations and in Japan through konbini convenience stores.

Payment Process

How does Cash Methods work?
A customer places an order on a merchant's website, chooses to pay with Western Union (worldwide) or konbini (in Japan). The consumer receives a unique order reference number which they print and if paying by Western Union , complete a blue payment services form. Customers take the reference number (and blue form if paying by Western Union) along with them to the nearest physical location that accepts the chosen cash method payment. The consumer makes the payment to the outlet clerk, who then enters the payment information that has been received together with the payment into the system. Subsequently a transaction receipt is provided to the consumer and a successful payment confirmation is sent to GlobalCollect within minutes.
