National Cards
National Cards are a highly popular payment method, outweighing international cards in some countries.
Many countries have their own national credit cards and debit cards. These do not have international presence, however, in their respective regions or countries they are the preferred type of card used online.
Payment Process
How do national cards work? A customer places an order on a merchant's website, chooses their national card from the list and enters their card details to complete the order.
Payment Process. The order details are passed through GlobalCollect who obtains the authorization and settlement from the bank acquirer and card issuing bank before passing the confirmation of authorization back to the merchant's website. The process is exactly as it is for International Cards.
